ABOUT BDS

BDS course is a Professional dental surgery programme of 5 yrs duration after 10+2 (science academic stream) which includes 4 years of academic study + 1 year of internship or residency. After MBBS, BDS is one of the most sought after course in the field of medical sciences. Aspiring candidates learn about variuos forms of treatments including surgical procedures, dental materials, dental anatomy, oral pathology, community dentistry etc. which are some of the topics that have been generally taught.

BDS Eligibility :

The candidate shall have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination. Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe students shall be given relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.

Any other qualification approved by the Dental Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
